How to reactivate a blocked Visa PIN or CVV code?

Your payment card's PIN (Personal Identification Number) and CVV (Card Verification Value) aren't just random numbers. These are security features designed to protect your payment card information from fraud and unauthorised use.

The payment card PIN code is a 4-digit number used for ATM or Point of Sale transactions, verifying that you are the cardholder.

The payment card CVV number is a 3-digit number located on the card's back that is crucial for online transactions, confirming that the physical card is in your possession.

It goes without saying that it's very important that you keep these numbers to yourself. Keeping your PIN code and CVV number hidden away from prying eyes helps ensure that your finances and privacy remain exactly where they should be – safe and sound with you.

To check the PIN code via the Paysera app:

Go to Cards > PIN code.

To check the PIN code using a browser:

1. Go to Accounts and Cards > Payment Cards;
2. Click on your Visa card number and select Get PIN.

If you’ve hit the maximum number of tries and your CVV is blocked, the good news is that you can fix it all yourself almost instantly. You can do it both via a web browser and the Paysera mobile app.

To unblock the payment card CVV via the Paysera mobile app:

Go to Cards > Your CVV code is blocked > Unblock the card's code.

To unblock the payment card CVV via a web browser:

1. Log in to your Paysera account;
2. In the menu on the left, select Accounts and Cards > Payment cards;
3. Click the Unblock CVV2 button next to your card.

No, at least not with the Visa card that you've obtained through Paysera. Although this might cause some inconvenience, it's a necessary measure to eliminate any risk of unauthorised use of your card. We understand that it might be a little frustrating, but it's a step taken for your own safety.
