Data Architect

Lead the initiative to design and establish a state-of-the-art Data Platform using an open-source stack;

Oversee the end-to-end architecture, from data ingestion and storage to processing and presentation;

Collaborate closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure the Data Platform aligns with business objectives and requirements;

Lead the integration and management of ClickHouse as the primary database solution, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability;

Design and implement effective real-time data synchronisation methods;

Architect and implement solutions to integrate various data sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timely availability;

Design and develop a robust and scalable data warehouse solution that supports analytical and business intelligence needs;

Ensure that the DWH effectively supports data modelling, ETL processes, and data mining;

Design and develop a user-friendly data presentation layer that allows users to interact with, visualise, and derive insights from the data;

Collaborate with BI developers, data analysts and data engineers to ensure the presentation layer meets organisational needs;

Propose and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Data Platform.

Expect to perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or a similar tool to enhance efficiency and productivity.

A minimum of 6 years of overall work experience in Software Engineering, with at least 3 years playing Data Architect role;

Proven experience in previous organisations using DBT (or similar tools);

Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, preferably in the fintech domain;

Strong expertise in ClickHouse and open-source data stack;

Proficient in various data integration methods and tools;

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling;

Strong focus on detail and dynamic leadership skills, encompassing effective communication and technical prowess, to spearhead initiatives;

Fluency in verbal and written English.

Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools like ChatGPT and other technologies, demonstrating a capability to seamlessly integrate these into daily tasks.
